814 Petition Signers, Widespread Support — And Still the City Does Nothing

SO WE’VE WON, RIGHT?

UNFORTUNATELY, NO

814 citizens have signed.  A majority of the City Council now wants to reconsider the noise ordinance. All candidates in the recent City Council President primaries profess support.  Neighborhood groups have expressed shock. A mayoral advisory board signed a letter protesting the environmental impact consequences. The shady circumstances that created this mess are being investigated by the Board of Ethics. And the city’s chief legal advisor has admitted that the 2023 ordinance was flawed and needs to be fixed.

SO WE’VE WON, RIGHT?

UNFORTUNATELY, NO

We are entering the noisy time of year with one of the least restrictive noise ordinances in America.  One more summer where noise hurts our quality of life and our health.

We can’t stop pushing for a better noise policy.  Please forward this petition for your friends and neighbors. Email your Council Member and the mayor to ask for decisive change.  Emails below:
