Properties with high night time noise have a rental turnover rate 69% higher than quieter places. In one study, a 10 decibel increase in noise produced property price drops of between 6% and 9%. Maybe city council members who don’t seem to care about public health and quality of life will care about the major economic impact of their ill informed votes.
